I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and relaxing summer. Even though school is out for the summer we have a lot going on at the building. This summer the exterior hallway walls and exterior hallway trim have been painted. Everything looks so clean and bright! Our extended summer learning program started this week. It's great to have teachers and students back in the building. Everyone has been working hard and having a good time!
The building is currently being installed with updated security cameras. The system will allow for us to monitor the school all around the building, with motion sensor cameras for the outside of the building as well. This is exciting and much needed as student safety is a priority.
Don't forget to participate in the district reading challenge this summer! Complete the challenge and turn in the paperwork when your child returns to school. It's always great to read as often as possible during the summer months.
The Welcome Back to School letters are scheduled to be sent home in August. Expect a letter from your child's new teacher sometime mid August.
