Students shall be eligible to attend kindergarten if they have reached age 5 by September 30. No exceptions shall be made for early entrance to kindergarten. Pursuant to Board Policy BOSC 101 School Board Policies and Administrative Procedures, request for exceptions shall not be heard by the BOSC.

Students shall be eligible to attend first grade if they have reached age 6 by September 30. All requests for exceptions shall be addressed to and by the Superintendent and/or his/her designee. The decision of the Superintendent shall be final.

Acceptance of transfers from states with differing eligibility requirements shall be left to the discretion of the Superintendent and/or his/her designee.
