The Manchester School District will meet the special physical health needs of all students, consistent with state and federal law.  The Board of School Committee recommends that all pupils participate in developmentally appropriate daily physical activity, exercise, or physical education as a way to minimize the health risks created by chronic inactivity, childhood obesity, and other related health problems.  The Manchester School District will encourage developmentally appropriate daily physical activity, exercise, or physical education through curriculum, athletics, and other school programs.
